CompuArt Design was founded in 1997 by Calvin Brazile, an artist and designer who graduated from the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Calvin spent nearly 20 years as the principal illustrator and manager of graphic production for the City of Detroit’s Communications and Creative Services Department before moving into the private sector.
In 2006, University of Michigan graphic design graduate, SuVon Treece joined the CompuArt Design team. Upon Calvin’s retirement several years later, SuVon was appointed as his successor and new president of CompuArt Design. SuVon’s focus is to continue the professional, high quality services that CompuArt Design is known for.
SuVon has over 10 years of design and marketing experience, including an 8-year position at the Detroit Department of Transportation where she served as Marketing & Communications Manager, as well as Graphic Designer. She has also held positions as Art Director, Sr. Marketing Communications Specialist, Graphic Designer and Web Developer in a number of industries including transportation, health insurance, publishing, radio broadcasting, public relations and more. In addition to graphic design, SuVon is a decorated visual artist and co-owner of Artistic Expressions Gallery, a fine art company founded in 2008 with her sister, Siana Treece.
“Graphic design is something I truly enjoy. I feel that being a fine artist really benefits me as a designer and I love to incorporate the two art forms whenever a project permits that type of creativity.”
